Singer, songwriter, and record producer Keith Martin is well-known in the R&B music scene in the United States and the Philippines. The beautiful love songs he wrote and sang made him famous.
While still in elementary school, he learned to play the piano, bass guitar, drums, and sing at the tender age of 10.
He began writing music at the age of nineteen. D’Extra Wiley later joined the 1990s new jack R&B group II D Extreme as a member of Masquerade, which also included twins Art and Scott Powell, Sharif Walters and D’Extra.
Artist management organization founded by Con Funk Shun’s founding drummer Louis McCall Sr. and Linda Lou McCall, a music business consultant/songwriter, later signed Martin.
He engaged Linda Lou McCall to help him set up his business and administrative activities in Oakland, California, in 1990.
At that time, Linda became Vice President of MC Hammer’s artist management organization, which meant that she and her husband had to arrange for Martin to come to California in order for him to join the MC Hammer world tour.
In 1990 Martin joined the McCalls in moving to Los Angeles so he could work with Boyz II Men producers (Shovani and Buster), Grammy Award-winning songwriters Marti Sharron and Danny Sembello, Oji Pierce, and The Time’s Jesse Johnson.
