British politician Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch popularly known as Kemi Badenoch has represented Saffron Walden in parliament since 2017.
She was a Conservative Party member who held the positions of Minister of State for Equalities and Minister of State for Local Government, Faith, and Communities from 2021 to 2022.
Badenoch is currently trending as there are now only five candidates left for the nation’s top position. Kemi Badenoch, a former equalities minister, is one of the less well-known contenders in the contest.
The 42-year-old is competing against Tom Tugendhat, Liz Truss, former chancellor Rishi Sunak, and foreign trade minister Penny Mordaunt.
Who is Kemi Badenoch’s Mother Feyi Adegoke?
Kemi Badenoch was born to her parents, Femi and Deyi Adegoke, in Wimbledon, London. Her mother taught physiology, while her father was a general practitioner.
Her two siblings, Lola and Fola, are her sister and brother, respectively. Badenoch’s mother was a professor in the US, but she also spent time growing up in Lagos, Nigeria.
Badenoch was born there right after her mother went there for treatment. It took her a long time to learn that she could obtain a British passport.
Even though Badenoch claimed her family wasn’t struggling, her upbringing was very different from that of her peers, who were Eton grads.
