Professional baseball player Kristopher Lee Bryant, also known as Kris Bryant, is best known for his work as an outfielder and third baseman for the Colorado Rockies. He participated in baseball for the school’s baseball team while attending Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round of the 2010 MLB Draft. He chose to enrol at the University of San Diego instead. He was signed by the Chicago Cubs in 2013. He received a $6.7 million signing bonus when he joined the Cubs. That year, he began playing baseball professionally with the Class A-Short Season Northwest League’s Boise Hawks.
The Cubs promoted him to the major leagues on April 17, 2015, and he made his MLB debut that day. In 2018, kris and the Cubs agreed on a $10.85 million salary to avoid salary arbitration. He was traded in July 2021 to the San Francisco Giants and in March 2022, the Colorado Rockies signed him on a seven-year contract worth $182 million.
In 2014, the Class AA Southern League’s Tennessee Smokies were given the task of housing him for the season. He was the winner of the Home Run Derby that year. He was moved up to the Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Iowa Cubs during the current campaign.
On April 17, 2015, the Cubs promoted him to the main leagues, and that same day he made his MLB debut. The Colorado Rockies signed him to a seven-year, $182 million contract in March 2022.
