Kurt Happy Zouma (born October 27, 1994) is a French professional footballer who currently plays as a center-back for West Ham United in the Premier League and for the France national team. Zouma began his professional career at Saint-Étienne, where he made his professional debut at the age of 16 and won the Coupe de la Ligue in 2013.
In January 2014, Zouma joined Chelsea for £12 million but was loaned back to the French club for the rest of the season. Zouma has represented France at several youth levels, up to and including under-21.On March 29, 2015, he made his senior international debut against Denmark.
Zouma has recently been entangled with the law as the 27-year-old defender was seen in a video hitting and kicking a cat in his home. The video which was uploaded by his brother Yoan Zouma has received a lot of backlash and many racist comments with death threats.
He has however been spared jail time and has been made to serve 180 hours of community service and fined £250,000.

Kurt Zouma has signed a four-year contract worth £24,960,000 with West Ham United F.C., with an annual average wage of £6,240,000. Zouma will be paid a basic salary of £6,240,000 in 2022.
Kurt was fined £250,000 by the West Ham club after the viral video of him dropping and kicking one of his cats was posted on Snapchat. His teammates are furious and are demanding a raise in their salaries after the incident and the revelation of his salary.
