Mickey Rooney Jr. was a famous American actor who lived from July 3, 1945, until July 16, 2022. He ran the film and television production company Rooney Entertainment Group and was the oldest son of the actor, Mickey Rooney. He was a born-again Christian who led an evangelical ministry in Hemet, California.
Rooney was born on July 3, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, to actor Mickey Rooney (1920–2014) and singer Betty Jane Rase (1927–2002), a former Miss Birmingham.
He and his brother Tim made their Mickey Mouse Club debut as “Mouseketeers” in 1955. In 1967, he played his first movie role in Hot Rods to Hell. Later, in 1975, he made an appearance in the television movie Beyond the Bermuda Triangle, and in the 1980 movie Honeysuckle Rose.
Playboy Playmate of the Month Merci Montello and Rooney were formerly married. Laura Hollander and Rooney were married on December 30, 1986, after they first met in 1986. They were wed up till her passing in 2006.
On July 16, 2022, two weeks after turning 77, Rooney passed away at home in Glendale, Arizona.
