Linebacker Leo Chenal plays for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs. He is 113 kg and 1.91 m tall. He played linebacker and running back for the football team at Grantsburg High School. He added 226 receiving yards as a senior and racked up 2,038 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns. He also recorded 120 defensive stops, seven tackles for loss, and three touchdowns.

Following his high school graduation, he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he played NCAA football for the Wisconsin Badgers squad. He played in 11 games as a freshman and recorded 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack. He concluded the year as a sophomore with 46 tackles, six tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception in seven games during Wisconsin’s COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.
He was named to the first team of the Big Ten and was named the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year as a junior. In January 2022, it became known that he had decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2022 NFL Draft. During the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Chenal.
