Raqhid Jevon Render, also known as Lil Keed, a rapper and co-founder of Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life Records label, has died at the age of 24.

Render’s biological brother and fellow Atlanta rapper Lil Gotit announced the news on Instagram late Friday evening. Lil Gotit captioned a photo of the two of them together, “Can’t believe I saw u die, today bro, I did all my sobs I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy #ImaHoldthisShitDown.”

Render was most known as a prominent creative on Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life Records brand, where he released his most famous song, “Nameless,” in 2018. The official music video for the song has over 33 million views on YouTube and is still growing.

Render, who was signed to Young Stoner Life and 300 Entertainment, is survived by his partner, Quana Bandz, and their first kid, Naychur, who turned three in March. Bandz also wrote a lengthy Instagram post about her shock and sadness about Render’s death.

Render defended Young Thug and Gunna’s latest arrest, which accused Young Stoner Life of being a “criminal street gang” earlier this month.

While Keed was not mentioned in the indictment, he stated on his Instagram account, “YSL is a family.” YSL is a brand. YSL is an attitude. YSL is a way of life. YSL does not belong to a gang. YSL is not a terrorist group. The YSL is not a gang. YSL is not a gangster.”

Garfield Larmond, Young Thug’s manager, also turned to social media to inform that Thug had brought Lil Keed on his first tour.
