Louis Leterrier is a French film director and producer who works in the entertainment industry.
Leterrier is the son of filmmaker François Leterrier and costume designer Catherine Leterrier and was born in Paris. Laurent Fabius, a politician, and François Fabius, an antiquarian, are his uncles.
His mother aided him in his creative endeavours. Leterrier started out as a drummer in a band before dabbling with short films.
He left France at the age of 18 to study film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts following some training in advertising and publicity.
In Alien Resurrection (1997), Louis Leterrier was Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s associate director. He also collaborated with Luc Besson on The Transporter.
In Unleashed, his solo feature debut, he directed Jet Li in a full-length martial arts picture. With The Incredible Hulk, he made his directorial debut in the United States in 2008.
