Greensboro, North Carolina, is where Mac McCain was born on February 6, 1998. His final two seasons at James B. Dudley High School saw him make 96 tackles, earning him honorable mention all-area honors. He then graduated from there.

He was added to the active roster on September 7, 2021, after being claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles.
In week three, he played 13 special teams snaps in the Dallas Cowboys loss (21-41), marking his NFL debut. His release date was November 9.
