Franklin “Mac” McCain III is a cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He was a North Carolina A&T football player who was signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2021.
Mac McCain was born on February 6, 1998, in Greensboro, North Carolina. In his final two seasons at James B. Dudley High School, where he accumulated 96 tackles and was selected for all-area honorable mention, he graduated. 
McCain was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent after being passed over in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was released on August 29 and later added to the practice squad.
He was added to the active roster on September 7, 2021, after being claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles. He played 13 special teams snaps in the 21-41 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in week three, making his NFL debut. The 9th of November saw his release.
The Eagles took McCain off waivers on November 24, 2021. On December 8, he was released. On December 13, he was rehired by the practice squad.
