Martin Von Haselberg’s only child is Sophie Von Haselberg. Sophie, just like her parents is an actress. She was born in Los Angeles, California in the United States of America on November 14, 1986. Sophie had her formal education at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in the USA after which she went on to Yale University.
At Yale, she majored in sociology and East Asian studies. When she graduated, she moved to China and worked for an advertising agency. In 2011, she returned to Yale and joined the Yale school of drama. She was given a role in the 2015 Woody Allen movie, Irrational Man. She was chosen to star alongside Nicole Byer in an MTV pilot that same year.
In October that year, she filmed for HBO’s The Wizard of Lies. The historical drama movie, Ask for Jane, which was released in 2018, featured her in the character of Joyce in 2017. In The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story on FX that year, she acted as Linda Elwell. On FX’s Pose, she played the ACT UP activist Syd in season 2, episode 1 and the season finale.
Her mom, Bette Midler is not only an actress but a comedian, singer, and writer. Her mom, Bette and dad, Martin were both part of the cast of the film Hocus Pocus. Bette has won multiple awards including four Golden Globe Awards, three Grammy Awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, and a Kennedy Center Honor, in addition to being nominated for two Academy Awards and a British Academy Film Award.
