Mason Will John Greenwood is an English professional football player who is currently a forward for the Premier League team Manchester United.
Greenwood was born on October 1, 2001. Greenwood was taken into custody in January 2022 on suspicion that he had raped and assaulted a woman.
Since then, he has not participated in any training sessions or matches with either his club or his national team.
The month of September 2019 marked the first time that he was selected for the senior squad led by Gareth Southgate.
Greenwood made his first appearance for the senior team against Iceland when he came on as a substitute in the 78th minute.
However, he was removed from the team because he violated the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines in Iceland. Mark Senior,
who has been an academy coach in the past referred to him as “the new Dutchman” and made comparisons between him and Robin van Persie.
During the United States national team’s preseason tour of the United Kingdom in July 2019, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer referred to him as “absolutely rapid.”
