On July 6, 1985, Matt Overton, an American football long snapper, was born in San Leandro, California. On October 4, 2022, Overton signed up for the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad. On October 15, 2022, Overton was inserted onto the roster.
After graduating from Diablo Valley College, he played collegiate football for Western Washington before being selected as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in 2007. Overton took part in the 2013 Pro Bowl while playing for the Indianapolis Colts.
Overton played football for the Bulldogs at Tracy High School in Tracy, California, where he was a two-way starter for the Bulldogs for four years. At Diablo Valley College, Overton started playing collegiate football.
Overton took part in af2 matches for the Tri-Cities Fever in 2008. He helped the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League to an undefeated season in 2009 and took part in the first UFL championship.
