Michael David Minor (born December 26, 1987) is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Cincinnati Reds (MLB). In the 2009 MLB draft, the Atlanta Braves selected him with the sixth overall choice. Minor has previously played for the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, and Oakland Athletics in the Major League Baseball.
Minor was picked in the 13th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays following a successful high school career at Forrest School in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. He did not sign, though, and instead chose to attend Vanderbilt University.
Pedro Alvarez and David Price, both future first-round draft selections, were teammates at Vanderbilt University.
