Nadia Sawalha is a British actress, television personality and YouTuber. She is best known for her role as Annie Palmer on the BBC One soap opera EastEnders from 1997 to 1999 and as Gina in ITV comedy Second Thoughts from 1992 to 1994.
In addition to this, she has been a panelist on the ITV daytime discussion show Loose Women for a considerable amount of time.
She was a member of the show’s panel from its inception in 1999 until 2002, after which she took a hiatus, but she rejoined the show in 2013 following a panelist shakeup.
She has also presented a number of television programs and is known for her parts in the television shows The Bill, Casualty, Benidorm, and 99-1.
Sawalha has maintained a presence on several cooking shows, both in the capacity of a presenter and as a chef, ever since she was crowned the champion of the 2007 season of Celebrity MasterChef.

Nadia Sawalha, a star on the show Loose Women, has appealed to her audience following a “worrying” health scare that resulted in her being admitted to the hospital.
After delaying her hysteroscopy, which is a technique used to inspect the interior of the womb, the woman, who is 57 years old, posted an update on her social media accounts and urged others to have themselves checked out.
The actress who formerly appeared on EastEnders admitted that she had “worried herself sick” but was relieved to hear on Monday that she had been given the “all clear.”
Sharing the news with fans on Instagram, she wrote alongside snaps from a hospital bed: “The only reason I’m posting these pics is because I want to catch your eye and urge you if you have been worrying about any symptoms you’ve been experiencing to bite the bullet and get yourself seen.
“Delaying things will only cause more worry. I’m not going to lie I’ve been worried sick myself recently but was given the all clear on Monday (September 26)!”
She added: “I only wish I had dealt with it earlier so I didn’t get myself into such a pickle. Don’t delay make the call. Get seen. You know it makes sense. Big hugs loves Nads xxx.”
