Cartier Niko Goodrum is a Major League Baseball utility player for the Houston Astros in the United States. He formerly played for the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers in Major League Baseball.
In his major league career, Goodrum has played every fielding position except pitcher and catcher. He attended Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, Georgia.
The Minnesota Twins selected Goodrum in the second round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft, with the 71st overall pick.

Connie Goodrum and Tim Goodrum are the parents of Niko and his other siblings. As a mother, Connie has always supported his son’s career. He has been to so many of his son’s games.
Tim Goodrum is a well-known baseball coach, counselor, and consultant.
He is the general manager of Elite Metro Sports and Cages in Fayetteville, a baseball and softball facility owned by his son, Niko, an FCHS graduate and member of the Minnesota Twins organization.
In 2012, he founded the non-profit Hit and Run Sports Academy with the goal of raising funds to help low-income and at-risk children gain access to baseball.
During this time, a proposal was written and forwarded to Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig.
The proposal described the goal as well as the number of children and families that would be affected in the Atlanta metropolitan area and nearby areas.
