In the National Football League, Orlando Brown is an offensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is 154 kg and 2.03 m tall. He attended Peachtree Ridge High School, where he participated in football throughout his time there. He made the choice to enrol at the University of Oklahoma, where he played NCAA football for the Oklahoma Sooners squad.
He redshirted his first year at Oklahoma in 2014, then as a redshirt freshman in 2015, he was chosen as the starting left tackle. He declared in January 2018 that he would forgo his senior year and instead enter the 2018 NFL Draft. He took part in every positional practice in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, but his performance was lacking.
His timing for the 40-yard dash at the combine was the slowest of any prospect, and Mike Mayock of the NFL Network dubbed it a “historically bad time.” With the 83rd overall pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Brown. In January 2020, he was named as a backup offensive tackle for the 2020 Pro Bowl and added to the roster for the Pro Bowl that was currently in play.
In April 2021, Brown was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs issued him a non-exclusive franchise tag in March 2022. After failing to reach a long-term agreement, he signed his $16.7 million franchise tag tender on August 2, 2022.
