Penn Murfee, full name William Penn Murfee happens to be an American professional baseball player. He plays as a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners baseball team of Major League Baseball. He has a height of 1.88 m and weighs 88 kg.
He was born to John Murfee and Alison Murfee on May 2, 1994 in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States of America. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 33rd round of the 2018 Major League baseball (MLB) draft. He made his professional debut that same year with the Everett AquaSox.
During the 2019 minor league season, he was assigned to play for the Modesto Nuts, Arkansas Travelers, and Tacoma Rainiers. That year, he was awarded as the Mariners 2019 minor league “60 ft., 6-in Club”. During the off season, he played in Arizona Fall League for the Peoria Javelinas.
He was also part of those selected to play in the 2019 United States national baseball team at the 2019 WBSC Premier 12. The Mariners added him to their 40-man roster in April 2022 and also added him to the Mariners active roster.
He was called up to the major leagues for the first time in April 2022 and he made his MLB debut for the Mariners on A, April 29, 2022, when they played against the Miami Marlins.
