He was the editor-in-chief of First News, a national children’s newspaper in the United Kingdom, and the host of Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN, which he started hosting on January 17, 2011.
Following Larry King’s retirement, the show took over the 9:00 p.m. He was a judge on America’s Got Talent in the past. Morgan has also won The Celebrity Apprentice before.
He was a judge on Britain’s Got Talent and worked as a writer and editor for various British tabloids, including The Sun, News of the World, and Daily Mirror.
Morgan was chastised in the official Leveson Inquiry findings in November 2012, when Lord Leveson stated that comments made in Morgan’s testimony about phone hacking “clearly prove is that he was aware of it taking place in the press as a whole and that he was sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behavior that he was prepared to joke about it.”
Morgan has published eight novels, three of which are autobiographies.
