Rod marsh Heart Attack: How Did Rod marsh Die?

Marsh was left in severe condition after suffering a heart attack in Bundaberg, Queensland, on February 24, 2022, en route to a charity event held by the Queensland Bulls Masters.

He died in Adelaide, South Australia, eight days later, on March 4, 2022. He was 74 at the time of his death.

Marsh, considered one of Australia’s best wicketkeepers, played 96 Tests during his 14-year international career.



With 118 runs against Pakistan in December 1972, he became Australia’s first gloveman to score a century.

After retiring from the game, Marsh worked in a number of coaching and administrative capacities in both Australia and England.

Marsh was inducted into the Cricket Hall of Fame by Cricket Australia in 2005.

After playing 96 Tests for Australia, the famous wicketkeeper went on to serve as a selector for the national side.

Marsh was the first Australian wicketkeeper to make a Test century in 1972-73, scoring 3,633 runs and taking 355 dismissals throughout his successful career, which spanned 1970 to 1984.

The athletic hero, who was born in Perth and became the coach of the National Cricket Academy in Adelaide, spent the last two decades of his life there.

Marsh is survived by his children Paul, Dan, and Jamie, as well as his wife Ros.
