Ryan Helsley, born Ryan Dalton Helsley is a professional baseball player with the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Ryan plays as a pitcher for the team. His height is 1.88 m and his weight is 104 kg.
Ryan was born and raised in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on July 18, 1994. He had his amateur career playing at Sequoyah High School where he attended. He was undrafted after high school during the 2013 MLB draft so he continued his studies at Northeastern State University where he played college baseball for the baseball team.
During his freshman year in 2014, he was named the MIAA Freshman of the Year. During the 2015 MLB draft, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth round the draft. He signed with them and made his professional debut that year after he was assigned to be with the Johnson City Cardinals.
He spent his 2016 playing for the Peoria Chiefs. He played with the Palm Beach Cardinals in the 2017 season and 2018, he started the season with Springfield and was later promoted to play with the Memphis Redbirds.
The Cardinals added him to their 40-man roster in 2018 and in April 2019, he was promoted to the major leagues where he made his MLB debut that day for the Cardinals.
