Nnamka was with the Rams for a period of three seasons. Ebukam was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams with the 125th overall pick. The Los Angeles Rams traded their fourth-round (141st overall) and sixth-round (197th overall) draft picks to the New York Jets in exchange for the fourth-round (125th overall) pick used to choose Ebukam.

Ebukam was selected in the 2017 NFL Draft as the 17th linebacker. The Los Angeles Rams signed Ebukam to a four-year, $3.01 million contract on June 20, 2017, that includes a $613,082 signing bonus.

Nnamka Ebukam made his professional regular-season debut against the Indianapolis Colts in the Los Angeles Rams’ season opener, recording three solo tackles in the team’s 46–9 victory. On November 12, 2017, during a sack against the Houston Texans, Ebukam recorded one solo tackle and forced his first career fumble.
