Scheffler was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey to parents, Diane and Scott Scheffler. Scheffler lived with his parents in Montvale, New Jersey.
His family relocated to Dallas, Texas when Scheffler was six. Whiles his dad Scott was a stay-at-home dad, his mom Diane worked as the chief operations officer at the law firm Thompson & Knight.
His passion for golf began when he was three years old when his parents got him a set of plastic clubs and a ball.
Scheffler was trained by Coach Randy at Royal Oaks Golf Club. Coach Randy was known to have coached Justin Leonard to victory at The Open Championship in 1997.
