After suffering a brain injury in his most recent boxing match, news of Simiso Buthelezi’s death has recently dominated the headlines.
This comes as a direct result of the injury that Buthelezi experienced. As a result of anything that took place during the course of the weekend, the South African boxer Simiso Buthelezi was taken from this world.

After the bout between the boxer and Sipheshile Mntungwa was called off by the referee in Greyville on Saturday,
the medical staff stated that nothing short of a miracle could save the fighter’s life. Because he was suffering from a brain hemorrhage,
doctors in Durban declined to operate on him. Buthelezi’s family, as well as Boxing South Africa, have issued a joint statement about his passing
In the tenth and last round of a bout, Buthelezi was able to knock Siphesihle Mntungwa out of the ring by landing a punch that caused Mntungwa to fall backwards between the ropes.
When Buthelezi, who had been unharmed for the bulk of the fight, began to shadow the box towards one of the ring’s corners, referee Elroy Marshall quickly stopped the bout and sought medical staff. Buthelezi had been uninjured for the majority of the fight.
