Stephen Edward Piscotty is an American professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball.
He was born on January 14, 1991, in the United States (MLB). Earlier in his career, he was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.
He participated in baseball at the collegiate level for Stanford and was selected first overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2012 Major League Baseball draft.
On July 21, 2015, he made his first appearance in the major leagues, and towards the end of that season, the Cardinals organization named him their Player of the Year.
After the conclusion of the 2017 campaign, the Cardinals made a deal to send him to the Athletics. In the 45th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft, the Los Angeles Dodgers selected Stephen Piscotty to join their organization.
He made the decision to enroll at Stanford University, where he participated in collegiate baseball for the Cardinals as a third baseman, pitcher, and outfielder for the team.
In 2012, before the start of the 2012 season, he was honoured as a preseason All-American.
