In addition to their home across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, the Texas Rangers play professional baseball in the United States. Texas is a member club of the American League West division of Major League Baseball and participates in the American League.
If you are a fan, it will interest you to know the best season of the Texas Rangers. It is no other season but the 2011 season which won the team an AL pennant.
The Texas Rangers 2011 Season
This was the finest squad in the history of the New York Rangers. Every position on the field was stacked — Michael Young served as the team’s utility infielder — and their top five starting pitchers combined for 73 wins and started all but five of the team’s games that season.
They won the division for the second straight season, finishing ten games ahead of the Angels, who finished second in the division. The Rangers defeated the Rays in four games in the American League Division Series and the Tigers in six games in the American League Championship Series, respectively.
However, they were defeated by the Cardinals in the World Series in seven games, a series that is primarily known for what transpired in Game 6. Unfortunately, this side will be remembered as the one that was “one strike away” from winning the game.
