What happened to Tom Parker? Causes of Death and More
Following a diagnosis of a fatal brain tumour, Tom Parker, a singer for the British-Irish boy band the Wanted, passed away.
He was 33 years old at the time. On Wednesday, Parker’s wife, Kelsey Hardwick, revealed the news on Instagram, writing:
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we can report that Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family at his side.” Parker and Hardwick married in 2011.
Spencer Parker revealed in October 2020 that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive grade four glioblastoma tumour.
Parker, who was born and reared in Bolton, United Kingdom, began playing the guitar when he was sixteen years old.
Prior to his brief stint as a geography student at Manchester Metropolitan University, he went on to audition for the reality television show “The X Factor,”
where he was eliminated during the first round of the competition. Wanted’s Parker was once a member of the Take That tribute band Take That II, which toured Northern England prior to forming the band The Wanted.
It was formed by Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes in 2009. Their 2010 debut single “All Time Low” made them famous.
Thanks to Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s manager Scooter Braun, the trio dominated the UK charts with “Glad You Came.”
“Heart Vacancy,” “Lose My Mind,” and “Chasing the Sun” is more successful. In 2014, the band disbanded to pursue solo projects.
He has many solo singles and partnered with Richard Rawson on “Fireflies.” In 2015, he was eliminated from “Celebrity MasterChef” in the UK.
On “The Jump” with Tina Hobley, he came third in the winter sports competition series.
