Vanessa Jane Feltz is an English journalist, presenter, and television personality. She has appeared on a variety of TV shows, including Vanessa, The Vanessa Show, The Wright Stuff, The Big Breakfast, Strictly Come Dancing, and Celebrity Big Brother. She was born in Islington, London, in the United Kingdom, on February 21, 1962.
She attended the exclusive Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls in Elstree, Hertfordshire, where she obtained her education. Later, she earned a first-class honors degree from Trinity College in Cambridge, where she studied English. She was the first female columnist for The Jewish Chronicle and later worked for the Daily Mirror.
In 2001, she started hosting a mid-afternoon phone-in show for the local radio station BBC London 94.9. In 2002, she also made a fleeting cameo in the comedy Once Upon a Time in the Midlands. She came in at number 93 out of the worst 100 Britons, according to a Channel 4 poll from May 2003. Vanessa, together with Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball, were three of the ten best paid BBC presenters in July 2019 with salaries totaling £355,000, according to the BBC Annual Report.
