JaMycal Hasty was born on September 12, 1996, and currently plays for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers (NFL). He represented the Baylor Bears in college football.
Hasty sat out his true freshman year. He ran for 623 yards and three touchdowns on 119 carries as a redshirt freshman.
On April 27, 2020, Hasty signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers. On September 5, 2020, he was waived during final roster cuts and immediately signed to the team’s practice squad.
On September 26, he was promoted to the active roster for the team’s Week 3 game against the New York Giants, but was returned to the practice squad following the game. In his NFL debut, he caught one pass and ran twice for nine yards. On October 3, 2020, he was upgraded to the active roster.
He scored his first professional rushing touchdown in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks. He was placed on injured reserve on November 17, 2020. Hasty was placed on injured reserve on September 25, 2021, after suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 2. On October 23, he was activated.
