Andrew Vasquez is a professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball he had previously played for the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Dodgers. Vasquez was born on September 14, 1993, in Rancho Cucamonga California and is currently 29 years old.
Andrew Vasquez was traded to Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for Stevie Berman on August 31, 2021. He was added to the Major League roster on September 2 that season.
He made his MLB debut on September 1, 2018, for the Minnesota Twins and later made his professional debut with Rookie Level Gulf Coast Twins. He has played for teams like Minnesota Twins from (2018- to 2019 ), Los Angeles Dodgers ( 2021), and Toronto Blue Jays (2022 – present) during his career. Vasquez attended Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
There at high school, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 44th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft but did not sign with them and played college baseball at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Westmont College.
Vasquez signed a one-year contract worth $800,00 on March 15, 2022, with the Toronto Blue Jays after he was made a free agent by the Dodgers in the previous season.
Following the struggles by Vasquez in this season’s debut, he is being replaced by Buffalo pitcher Casey Lawrence on the Blue Jays’ active roster after the 9-1 loss to the Yankees earlier this month.
