The former boyfriend of Australian Olympic icon Ian Thorpe, Ryan changing has died. According to reports, Channing who is a model, lawyer, and skincare entrepreneur died shortly after he was rushed to Bali’s BIMC hospital on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

He had flown to the Indonesian Holiday Isle Bali where he died during his holidays.

The news was confirmed by his brother Jake Channing in a news statement paying tributes to his late brother where he wrote “seeing as the news headlines beat my whole family to posting about this unfortunate times in our, it’s with a heavy heart I announce that my brother Ryan has recently passed away on Sunday the 8th of May at 32 years of age”.

Channing was the longtime boyfriend of Ian Thorpe who is a  former Olympic swimming champion after coming out as gay. The couple had been together for four years until they broke up in 2019.

Who killed Ryan Channing?

According to a friend of Channing, Channing had been battling health issues for some time but his cause of death is unknown as the family has not confirmed it yet.

However, Channing’s last post on Instagram revealed that he had been diagnosed and hospitalized with COVID-19 at the Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital but his brother has confirmed that was not the actual cause of death.
