What Happened to Sabita Thanwani?
Sabita Thanwani, a student, was discovered with neck injuries in the halls of residence in Clerkenwell’s Sebastian Street. At about 05:10 GMT on Saturday, police and doctors arrived at Arbour House, but she died on the scene.
Police are looking for the guy in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman found dead in student lodgings in central London. Early indications suggested Ms Thanwani was with Mr Maaroufe on Friday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Maher Maaroufe, a 22-year-old Tunisian national with no fixed address, was in a relationship with Ms Thanwani and is suspected to have been with her that evening, according to police.
He has connections all across London, especially in the Marble Arch, Edgware Road, and Lewisham neighbourhoods. He’s also been known to visit Cambridgeshire. Maaroufe was dating Sabita, although he wasn’t a student. The authorities are attempting to locate those who had contact with him, but I would encourage anyone who knew him and has not yet spoken with police to do so.
