The Cleveland Guardians established in 1984 is an American baseball team in the Major League Baseball (MLB). As a member club of the American League (AL) Central division, they have played at Progressive Field 1994.
The establishment began in 1894 as the Grand Rapids Rustlers, a small-time group in the Western League. The group migrated to Cleveland in 1900 and was renamed the Cleveland Lake Shores. The Western League itself was renamed the American League while proceeding with its small-time status.
One of the American League’s eight contract establishments, the significant association manifestation of the club was established in Cleveland in 1901. Initially called the Cleveland Bluebirds, the team played in League Park until moving forever to Cleveland Stadium in 1946. The Bluebirds name demonstrated disagreeably, and in 1903, the team was nicknamed the Cleveland Naps, after group chief Nap Lajoie.
Under the name Cleveland Indians, the team has been featured in several films, including The Kid from Cleveland – then-owner Bill Veek, was featured in the movie
