Aaron Robinson, a former defensive back for the University of Central Florida Knights, has reached an agreement with the New York Giants to sign a rookie deal worth $5.1 million over four years.
During the NFL Draft of 2021, Robinson was chosen 71st overall in the third round of the draft.
According to the facts of the contract that were obtained by Spotrac.com, the transaction will result in an annual income of an average of $1,285,823, with a total of $1,100,576 being guaranteed. In addition, Robinson is awarded a signing bonus in the amount of $1,100,576.
Along with defensive backs Richie Grant (Atlanta Falcons), Tay Gowan (Arizona Cardinals), receivers Jacob Harris (Los Angeles Rams), and Tre Nixon (New England Patriots), he was one of a school-record five UCF players taken in April’s NFL Draft.
After spending just one season at Alabama, Robinson made the move to UCF. As a result of NCAA transfer regulations, he was required to sit out the 2017 season. He got the start as the 2018 campaign began, but then he suffered a catastrophic injury that kept him out of play for all but seven games. Robinson was given the nod to start 19 of the Knights’ final 23 games while he was with the team.
