The Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League are the team for which Anthony Firkser plays professionally. At 1.88 m tall, he is 112 kg in weight. He began playing football when he was a sophomore at Manalapan High School. At Manalapan, he set career-highs for the school with 110 receptions, 2,118 receiving yards, and 19 touchdown receptions.
As a senior wide receiver following his senior season, he was given the All-Shore Offensive Player of the Year honor. He was also twice selected for the All-Shore first team. Following high school, he enrolled at Harvard University, where he participated in college football with the Harvard Crimson.
With an applied mathematics degree from Harvard, he graduated. He ended his undergraduate career with a school-record 12 receptions, 9 receiving yards, and 6 touchdown grabs, placing him 12th overall in school history. May 2017 saw the undrafted free agent Firkser sign with the New York Jets. In September 2017, he was released by the Jets.
He was a practice squad member for the Kansas City Chiefs when they signed him in November. April 2018 saw his release. The Tennessee Titans acquired him in May of last year. He committed to the Atlanta Falcons in April 2022, but was let go in August of the same year. The following day, he was added to the practice squad, and in September 2022, his status was upgraded to that of an active player.
