Linebacker, Austin Calitro was signed by the New York Giants on July 28, 2022.
The organization announced that they had signed free agent Austin Calitro while simultaneously confirming that they had waived Justin Hilliard. Calitro will be available for every game, whereas Hilliard will begin the season serving a suspension that will keep him out of action for the first two games of the season.
Calitro was not selected in the draft after graduating from Villanova in 2017, and he spent time with four different clubs before making his debut with the Seahawks in the regular season in 2018. Calistro was with the Jaguars in 2019, the Broncos in 2020, and the Bengals last season, though he did not play in the AFC Championship Game.
Calitro played for the Seahawks and Jaguars and made nine starts during his time with those clubs. Since then, though, he has spent practically all of his playing time on special teams rather than on offense or defense.
