Chris Glaser, a former offensive lineman for UVA, has migrated to the National Football League. The New York Jets announced on Tuesday that Glaser has signed a contract to join the organization.
Early in May, Glaser signed a non-drafted free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Glaser stayed with the team all summer long, and the Chiefs appeared to have room on their 90-man roster for him.
After that, Kansas City cut Glaser last week to make place for Orlando Brown Jr., another offensive lineman who had been refusing to sign a contract for the first several days of training camp.
After New York offensive lineman Mekhi Becton injured his knee on Monday, the Jets moved to sign Glaser on Tuesday. Glaser spent less than a week on the open market.
At Virginia, Glaser participated in 54 games over the course of his career, starting 44 of them at various offensive line positions.
On the 2021 Pro Football Network All-America Team, he received an honorable mention. Glaser, who has experience at both right and left guard, is continuing to get opportunities in the NFL.
How Much Does Chris Glaser Make?
The usual amount of money that Chris Glaser earns each year is $705,000. Glazer will make $705,000 in 2022 and have a cap hit of $705,000 for that year.
