Jaylon Moore was born on January 9, 1998, and is an American football offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He was taken with the 155th overall pick in the NFL Draft in 2021. He was a member of the Western Michigan University football team.
At the time of his high school graduation, Moore was rated as a two–star prospect by 247Sports.com. On June 7, 2015, he made his decision to attend Western Michigan. In high school, he was a tight end, but he switched to offensive line throughout his collegiate career.
In five years at Western Michigan (2016-20), Jaylon Moore appeared in 36 games (26 starts). As a redshirt senior in 2020, he appeared in all six games and blocked for a Western Michigan offense that finished fourth in the MAC in terms of yards per game (479.7).
A fourth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 NFL Draft, Moore was selected by the team with the 155th overall pick. On May 13, he signed a four-year rookie contract with the team.
