One of the professional baseball players in the Colorado Rockies organisation in Kyle Freeland. He was born to parents Don and Susan Freeland on May 14, 1993, in Denver, Colorado in the USA. He played baseball when he was in high school at Thomas Jefferson High School and played college baseball at the University of Evans Ville.
He also played collegiate summer baseball in the Cape Cod League with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in 2013. The Colorado Rockies selected him in the 1st round of the 2014 MLB draft. He signed with the Rockies and made his professional debut that season with the Grand Junction Rockies and the Asheville Tourists.
During the 2015 minor league season, he spent it with the Grand Junction and was promoted during the season to spend the rest of the season with the Modesto Nuts. He played in the Arizona Fall League for the Salt River Rafters after the season.
Kyle spent the 2016 season with Hartford Yard Goats and with the Albuquerque Isotopes as a promotion. He made his MLB debut for the Rockies on April 7, 2017. He was named the Rockies starting pitcher for the 2022 regular season.
