Matthew Connor Hennessy is an American football centre who currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.
He was born on November 17, 1997. (NFL). He attended Temple University for his college football career. Hennessy was raised in the nearby town of Bardonia, New York, after being born in nearby Nyack.
He went to Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, and for the Ironmen, he started as an offensive tackle both his junior and senior years.
According to rivals.com, Hennessy is a three-star offensive tackle recruit. Hennessy chose to play college football at Temple over offers from several other schools,
including the Air Force, Army, Florida Atlantic, Old Dominion, and Yale, among others. When Christian Hennessy was a true freshman for the Owls and a redshirt junior,
he started at centre for the team. As one of the toughest players on the team heading into his redshirt sophomore year,
he was recognized as deserving of a single-digit jersey and was given the number three. He was named to the first team All-American Athletic Conference and the second team Academic All-America by USA Today.
The Associated Press placed him on their third team. He started 11 games but was only able to play in 9 of them due to injuries.
Following the season, he announced that he would be entering the 2020 NFL Draft instead of returning to college for his final year of eligibility.
