In the National Football League, Netane Muti plays guard for the Denver Broncos. He stands 1.91 m tall and weighs 143 kg. He went to Leilehua High School where he played high school football. At California State University, Fresno, he participated in collegiate football for the Fresno State Bulldogs football team. Due to a preseason Achilles injury, he redshirted his first year at Fresno State.
He started each of the 14 games in 2017 as a redshirt freshman. He was given an Honorable Mention All-Mountain West award for his efforts. His 2018 campaign was cut short by a season-ending Achilles injury sustained in the third game of the year.

The Denver Broncos selected Muti with the 181st overall pick in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
The active/non-football injury list was expanded when training camp began in July 2020 due to injuries that were unrelated to football. After six days, he was added back to the active player roster. The Broncos released him on August 30, 2022, and the following day they added him to the practice squad.
