Oswaldo Alberto Cabrera (born March 1, 1999) is a Venezuelan shortstop for the New York Yankees.
Cabrera is a Venezuelan native who hails from Guarenas. When he was 16, he signed as a free agent with the Yankees. After the 2021 season, Cabrera was awarded the most valuable player in Double-A Northeast.
He was added to the Yankees’ 40-man roster, preventing him from being drafted in the Rule 5 draft. Cabrera was optioned to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for the start of the 2022 season by the Yankees.
