T. J. Edwards is a linebacker who competes professionally for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He is also a tall man, standing 1.85 m and weighing 110 kg. He played football in high school at Lakes Community High School.
After high school, he made a promise to play collegiate football for the Western Michigan Broncos, but he later decided against it and chose to enroll at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he will now play for the Wisconsin Badgers. As a true freshman, he redshirted in 2014 before starting each of the team’s 13 games in 2015.
Edwards did not receive a selection in the 2019 NFL Draft and instead signed on as an undrafted free agent in May. In October 2020, he sustained a hamstring injury, leading to his placement on injured reserve. He made a crucial play when, with the Eagles trailing 18-13 against the Carolina Panthers in Week 5, he blocked a punt in the fourth quarter.
