American baseball player Tobias Myers who plays as a pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians, was born on August 5, 1998. The baseball player is rumored to bat using the same right hand that he is known to utilize when swinging the bat.
In addition to donning the team’s number 79 jersey, he plays the role of a pitcher. He started his high school career at Winter Haven High School in Winter Haven, Florida, and continued on to the University of South Florida for his undergraduate studies, where he played collegiate baseball for the school team.
At the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft, the Baltimore Orioles selected Tobias Myers in the sixth round.
On July 31, 2017, it is revealed that he was exchanged for Tim Beckham by the Tampa Bay Rays.
He played in 18 games (13 starts) with the Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League in 2019, going 8-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 84+2/3 innings.
Since the 2020 minor league season was postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, he did not participate in a single game. He was given a starting position with the Double-A South Montgomery Biscuits for the 2021 campaign.
Myers was traded to the Cleveland Guardians on November 19, 2021, in exchange for Junior Caminero; after his acquisition, the Guardians added Myers to their 40-man roster.
