After the condition had been identified by Jets medical staff in July, Curry went public with the matter in August of last year. Due to the diagnosis, Curry had to have his spleen removed; nonetheless, he was scheduled to make a full recovery by September.
However, during the course of his rehabilitation, blood clots developed, and he consequently had to take blood thinners. Curry was unable to maintain physical touch for a period of time as a result of these.
Curry has committed to making a comeback in 2022. In January, the Jets removed him from the non-football injury list; however, they are now honoring his request to play football again by putting him back on the roster.
