Trevor Vaughan Gott was born on August 26, 1992, in Lexington Kentucky. Gott is currently a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Milwaukee Brewers (MLB).
He was picked in the sixth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres, after playing collegiate baseball at the University of Kentucky. In 2015, he made his MLB debut.
He signed with the Padres for a $200,000 signing bonus and debuted in the Class A-Short Season Northwest League with the Eugene Emeralds.
The Padres sold Gott and Huston Street to the Angels of Anaheim on July 19, 2014, in exchange for Taylor Lindsey, R. J. Alvarez, José Rondón, and Elliot Morris. The Angels assigned him to the Class AA Texas League’s Arkansas Travelers, where he finished the season.
To begin the 2016 season, the Nationals assigned Gott to the Syracuse Chiefs of the Class AAA International League. On June 6, he was placed on the seven-day disabled list with elbow and he did not return to the field until July 25, when he was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Nationals of the rookie-level Gulf Coast League for a rehab assignment.
Gott signed a major league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers on November 3, 2021.
