Who is Dolph Ziggler?
Nicholas Theodore Nemeth is a stand-up comedian and professional wrestler from the United States. He is presently signed to WWE and works under the ring name Dolph Ziggler on the Raw brand.
He also features on the NXT brand, where he is the reigning NXT Champion.
Wrestling under Nemeth’s true name began after he was signed to a WWE developmental contract in 2004 after a successful amateur wrestling career in which he set numerous school records for Kent State University.
Shortly after that, he was promoted to the WWE’s Raw brand, where he served as Kerwin White’s caddy.
The Spirit Squad, a cheerleader-themed tag team who debuted on RAW in 2006 and won the World Tag Team Championship once before returning to OVW in November of that year, renamed him Nicky.
Since 2007, Nemeth has been a part of FCW’s Florida Tag Team Championship (FCW Florida Tag Team Championship), which he won with Brad Allen and then Gavin Spears in September 2007.
Dolph Ziggler Career
For a brief period of time, Nemeth was affiliated with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Nick Nemeth made his debut in OVW’s developmental region, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).
On August 12, 2005, he was defeated by then-champion Ken Doane in the OVW Television Championship match after a feud with Paul Burchill.
Soon after, Nemeth was called up to the WWE roster and made his debut on Sunday Night Heat on September 19, 2005.
The ring identity “Kerwin White” was given to him by Chavo Guerrero, Jr., who used him as an enforcer and sidekick.
As a result, Nemeth took up the role of caddie for White.
In a tag team battle against Shelton Benjamin and Matt Strike, he made his wrestling debut on Sunday Night Heat with the help of White, who teamed up with him.
While growing up, Dolph Ziggler was a fan of a number of stand-up comedians including Johnny Carson and Jon Lovitz. He also enjoyed Dana Carvey, Adam Sandler, Jan Hooks, Phil Hartman, and George Wallace.

There are two brothers of Nemeth. It’s worth noting that Ryan’s younger brother, Briley Pierce, is also a professional wrestler now signed to All Elite Wrestling.
For his part in a bungled heist that resulted in the death of a former Marine in January 2016, Donal’s other brother, Donald, received a 15-year sentence after admitting to involuntary manslaughter, kidnapping, and robbery.
