Jacob Capra spent his final year of college basketball at San Diego State University, where he played with his brother.
Jake Hanson, who is now the starting center for the Packers, was Capra’s teammate during his first three seasons at Oregon.
After receiving his degree, he decided to transfer to San Diego State for the 2019 season, which was the same year that his younger brother Joey was playing his freshman year as a redshirt.
Jacob Capra started two games at right tackle and four at left tackle during that inaugural campaign. The following year, in 2020, he established himself as the left guard. In the process of garnering some all-Mountain West Conference honors, Pro Football Focus reports that he did not surrender any sacks and faced only two pressures.
The Capra family lived together in a two-bedroom apartment, and when they weren’t concentrating on football or their studies, they enjoyed activities such as boogie boarding and snorkeling.
Capra measured 6-foot-5 1/8 inches tall, 300 pounds, and 33 1/4 inches in his arms at his pro day. He finished the 40-yard dash in 5.29 seconds and performed 27 repetitions on the bench press with 225 pounds.
