Former New York Jet running back, La’Mical Perine is currently a free agent. His college football career was spent in Florida, and the New York Jets selected him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft in 2020.
He spent his childhood in Mobile, Alabama, and went to Theodore High School, where he played both basketball and football. Perine rushed for 1,416 yards and 16 touchdowns during his junior season, earning him an honorable mention spot on the Class 7A All-State team.
During his senior season, he carried for 1,654 yards and 15 touchdowns, earning him a spot on the first team of the Class 7A All-State squad. Perine, who was given a rating of three stars by the recruiting service, chose to play collegiate football for the University of Florida rather than accept an offer from Alabama.
