Nathan Gerry, an American football linebacker for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League, was born on February 23, 1995. He was a linebacker and safety for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in collegiate football.
In the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected him, and he has also played for the San Francisco 49ers.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Gerry in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 184th overall. On May 12, 2017, he agreed to a four-year rookie contract with the Eagles.
He was released on September 2, 2017, and the Eagles added him to the practice squad the following day. Gerry and the Eagles won Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018.
Gerry agreed to a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on March 29, 2021. On July 6, 2021, he was released with an injury waiver. On September 8, 2021, he was re-signed to the practice squad, however on November 2, 2021, he was let go.
On August 7, 2022, Gerry signed a contract with the Washington Commanders. On August 23, 2022, he was placed on injured reserve and discharged two days later with an injury settlement. On November 3, he joined the Commanders’ practice squad.

Gerry attended Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he ran track and played high school football.
In his junior and senior years, Gerry won the 200-meter high school race in South Dakota and set a state record with a time of 21.52 seconds. He made a commitment to play college football at the University of Nebraska.
